On behalf of all enrolled members, I thank Ms. Kitty To for officiating the ceremony today. Thank all the staff and instructors for their continual guidance and support in the past year. Thank the committee and subcommittee members for their zealous effort and time spent on this enrollment ceremony.
Last year, when I was still a new member of the Red Cross, I attended the enrollment ceremony like many of you. I was keen to become an enrolled member, wearing the uniform and yelling out the oath. Today, my dream has come true. What’s more, I am proudly wearing the Red Cross uniform and hosting this year’s enrolment ceremony. I hope you all sitting in the Hall will shine as bright as stars after becoming an enrolled member as I do.
Over the past year, all enrolled members attended various kinds of courses and participated in different services and friendship activities. All these have broadened our horizons, deepened our understanding of values cherished by every Red Cross member, and created lifelong collective memories.
The end of the 52nd enrollment ceremony marks at the same the beginning of your journey as a Red Cross member in Youth Unit 42. For all enrolled Red Cross members, please continue to ‘Reach’ out for the needy; to ‘Embrace’ a vibrant lifestyle; and to ‘Discover’ your true north. After six years when you look back, I hope we all will yell out proudly: Yes! I have a terrific time here in Youth Unit 42. But before the time comes, please continue to strive and Shine. Thank you.
