True Light Girls’ Invitational Mathematics Contest 2024: A Student-Led Success
This year, the True Light Girls’ Invitational Mathematics Contest once again brought together math enthusiasts from across the region, showcasing not only the brilliance of young mathematicians but also the impressive organizational skills of our students. With more than 40 student helpers on board, the event was a testament to teamwork and collaboration.
One standout feature of the contest was the fact that the questions were crafted by our very own students. This surprised many attending teachers, who were amazed to learn that the problems posed were not set by faculty but by their students. This not only highlighted the creativity and capability of our students but also fostered a sense of ownership and pride in the event.
Our Math Team worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. From formulating questions to revising solutions, every aspect of the contest was handled with care and professionalism. The reception area buzzed with energy as our student helpers greeted contestants and answered queries with enthusiasm and poise.
The explanatory session, enhanced by our use of Goodnotes, allowed us to present solutions in a clear and engaging manner. Participants and their teachers were once again impressed by the clarity of our presentations, building on the positive feedback received in previous years.
Thanks to the dedication of all colleagues and students involved, the True Light Girls’ Invitational Mathematics Contest continues to inspire and challenge students, further solidifying its reputation as a premier event for young mathematicians. We look forward to building on this success in the years to come!
