Our S1 and S2 students participated in the “100 Years of Placemaking: A Journey Through The Lee Gardens Area” guided community tour, which has proven to be an invaluable educational experience.

The tour’s unveiling of the rich history and evolution of the Lee Gardens area has enabled our students to familiarise themselves with their local heritage in a truly interactive and meaningful way. The tour introduced the cultural heritage, entertainment, iconic architecture, artistic creations and shared communal values of the area. Our students have gained a deeper understanding and appreciation for the community’s past, and how it has shaped the neighbourhood where our school is located today.

Furthermore, the tour’s emphasis on tracing Causeway Bay’s transformation from a fishing village to a bustling urban centre has provided our students with a valuable perspective on community development and the importance of preserving cultural heritage in the face of rapid urbanisation. This holistic understanding of the neighbourhood’s evolution has equipped our students with civic engagement necessary to contribute positively to the ongoing shaping of their community.
